Protect Natural Stone and Tiles

  • Protect Natural Stone and Tiles

    Because it’s easy to Maintain
Because Hard to make…easy to protect
We have made a big investment on floor and should not stop with just the installation of it, by sealing your stone or Tile you’re providing a barrier against staining agents become permanently imbedded, properly sealed surface will last longer, resist stains and be easier to clean and maintain.
Sealers create a moisture repellant barrier when applied to various types of surfaces. We recommend application of these products directly after the cleaning takes place. our products are formulated to work best on a freshly cleaned surface. We also recommend staying off the treated surface for several hours after application to allow proper time for the product to “cure”. Once everything is dry your floors, furnishings, countertops and showers will be easier to keep clean and much more stain resistant.
Ceramic tile is an extremely common type of flooring that is entirely man made. Ceramic and “porcelain”tile are essentially the same in terms of the way they are produced and maintained.  When it comes to cleaning these tiles they are both cleaned with the same process. However porcelain tile is a bit denser,  less porous and more durable.  Both ceramic and porcelain tile are very porous and will require professional cleaning every few years to remove the soil that becomes embedded in both the tiles themselves and the grout. These tiles are preferred in many homes because of their durability. However a common misconception is that they will be easy for the homeowner to keep clean. In fact the porous nature of these tiles ultimately leads to them getting very dirty within a few years. This is especially the case if the tile and grout were never professionally sealed.
on a new tile installation or existing tile floor it is extremely important to seal the tile to prolong the time before it will need professional cleaning and to prevent permanent staining of the grout. This need is even more crucial in showers due to the constant exposure to moisture and multiple types of soap products.  It is equally important in kitchens with the high level of traffic from busy families and the amount of cooking oils that make their way to the floor. The biggest problem with ceramic tile in homes is that people usually are not educated in the proper types of cleaners to use on their tile and they end up using whichever product has the shiniest label or cutest commercial only. Often these products leave a very sticky residue which is absorbed by the pores of the tile & grout. This sticky residue attracts dirt and oil leading to a very dirty looking surface and even worse it can rapidly stain an unsealed grout. Permanent staining of the grout can easily be prevented by hiring us to clean and seal the tile every few years.
Marble is one of the most lavish and elegant flooring options available. It has a rich history, and has beenthe material of choice for designers, architects, and artists throughout all of human history. It needs to be treated on a regular basis to protect it against spills and moisture. It is also susceptible to certain kinds of stains and damage.
Marble is a natural stone and all natural stone materials have porous surfaces. This makes marble susceptible to damage from a variety of stains and spills. In order to offset this, a new installation of marble should be treated with sealer. This will serve to clog the pores in the material, while also creating an invisible layer over it. Maintenance will require the reapplication of the Sealer every 6 to 12 months depending on the level of traffic in the space.
